Vegetable-tanned leather is more expensive than traditional chemically tanned leather primarily because of the skill required to tan the hides. It's a 200-year-old process handed down through generations of skilled craftsmen. This same skill, though, results in hides of much higher quality. Plus:

• When all-natural tannins are used it results in each finished piece having its own unique look. No two hides are exactly the same so they each have their own characteristics.

Want to change the buckle to one of your choosing? No problem. We use rugged, yet handsome, Chicago screws to hold the belt together so you can easily swap buckles. The screwed-together construction ensures your belt stays fastened, unlike snaps.
